Meggan Scavio

Meggan Scavio is the President of the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, a position held since July 2017. Previously, Meggan served as GM of GDC Events at UBM TechWeb from May 2011 to June 2017 and held the role of Director for the Game Developers Conference from April 2007 to May 2011. In this capacity, Meggan was responsible for the event's production, content, and integrity, while acting as a liaison between the GDC and industry advisors. Meggan's career began at CMP Media, where Meggan worked as Director of Operations from 1998 to 2007, overseeing the operational production of numerous international event properties. Meggan holds a degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
