Peter Cairney

Peter Cairney has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Peter started their career as a Trading Assistant at Bear Stearns Companies in 1993 before joining Pacific Crest Securities as an Institutional Equity Sales Trader in 1999. In 2009, they moved to Lazard, where they served as the Director of Institutional Equity Sales Trading until 2013. Peter then joined FBR as a Senior Vice President of Institutional Equity Sales Trading, a position they held until 2018. In 2019, they joined Northern Trust Corporation as the SVP of Institutional Equity Sales Trading, where they worked until September 2023. Currently, they serve as the Managing Director of Institutional Equities Sales Trading at Academy Securities. Prior to their career in finance, Peter Cairney was a Captain in the US Marine Corps from 1985 to 1991.

Peter Cairney has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from St. John's University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business. Peter also holds certifications in Series 7, 63, 55, and 24 from FINRA.
