Matthew Winchester

Matthew Winchester has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, holding various leadership positions. Matthew is currently the VP of Quality and Patient Safety at Acadia Healthcare since March 2022. Prior to that, they served as the CEO of Highland Springs Hospital at Springstone, Inc. from June 2015 to March 2022. Matthew also worked at Acadia Healthcare as the CEO of RiverWoods Behavioral Health System from February 2013 to June 2015. Before joining Acadia Healthcare, Matthew held several roles at UHS, including CEO positions at Peak Behavioral Healthcare, COO positions at Crescent Pines and Timberlawn Mental Health System, and a COO position at Stonington Institute. Matthew started their career at Cleveland Clinic as a Department Administrator from January 2005 to September 2007. Matthew's earlier experience also includes serving as the Assistant Vice President of Outpatient at Beech Brook from January 2003 to January 2005.

Matthew Winchester has a Master of Public Health (MPH) and Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Michigan. Matthew attended College of the Holy Cross from 1988 to 1992. Matthew completed high school at St. Ignatius High School. Additionally, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Certificate from Villanova University in 2013.
