Gerald Shimamoto has extensive work experience in IT service management. Gerald began their career at Gen-Probe Inc. in 2000, starting as a Systems Administrator and later becoming a Help Desk Supervisor and then a Manager for IS Support. At Gen-Probe, they implemented and managed an ITIL based service management system, improving operational productivity and customer satisfaction. In 2012, they joined Hologic (formerly Gen-Probe) as a Manager for IS User Services. In this role, they built and managed a high-performing support team, developed and monitored KPIs, and implemented a new growth and development plan to increase employee satisfaction. Gerald also played a key role in implementing an ITIL based service management system and refining onboarding and termination processes.
