Jake Patryn

Director Of Operations at Acadian Seaplants

Jake Patryn has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jake started their career in 2010 as a Fabricator at Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding and then worked as a Welder at Johnson and Jordan Mechanical Services Department from 2012 to 2012. Jake then joined U.S. Engineering as a Welder from 2013 to 2014 before moving on to Apollo Mechanical Contractors where they started as an onsite pipe welder and was promoted to Foreman. In 2017, Jake co-founded Nautical Farms, where they were involved in aquaculture farming and consulting. In 2019, they became the Director of Operations at Acadian Seaplants. Recently, in 2022, they were elected as a Selectman for the Town of Machias, Maine, where they serve as the chief administrative authority, addressing the needs of local residents and businesses.

Jake Patryn attended Washington Academy from 2004 to 2008. Jake then went on to study Foods, Nutrition, and Wellness Studies at the University of Maine at Machias from 2008 to 2010. Finally, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Welding Technology/Welder from Eastern Maine Community College from 2010 to 2011.
