Charles V.

Charles V. has over 20 years of experience in various roles related to systems engineering, quality assurance, and IT consulting.

Charles started their career as a Junior System Administrator at Gemplus Corporation in 1999. Charles then worked as a System Administrator at Converge in 2001.

In 2003, Charles joined Bayport Networks as an IT Consultant, where they managed projects related to IT security, backup, and support for clients. Charles was responsible for tasks such as setting up domain controllers, managing user accounts and mailboxes, implementing backup solutions, and configuring network equipment.

Charles joined Webroot in 2010, first as a Systems Administrator, and later as a QA Engineer. In their role as a QA Engineer, they created test plans and cases and certified the ShadowBox appliance based on type 2 hypervisor.

From 2014 to 2016, Charles worked at Shadow Networks as a System Engineer, responsible for manufacturing the ShadowBox appliance, and as a QA Engineer, defining test cases and plans and creating test documentation.

Most recently, Charles worked at Acalvio Technologies as a Senior Systems Engineer. In this role, they wrote Terraform manifests and modules, used Jenkins with Terraform to deploy sensors, and replaced firewall equipment.

Charles V. attended De Anza College from 1999 to 2001, where they completed an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration. Charles then transferred to San Jose State University and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, which they completed from 2001 to 2004.
