Darren Cooper

Darren Cooper has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Darren began their career as a Web Producer for the London Borough of Bexley, where they managed website updates and collaborated with other teams. Darren then worked as a Web Developer for W&Co Design Solutions, taking on responsibilities such as updating e-commerce websites and designing new company websites. Darren later joined BBC Studios, initially as a Digital Marketing Executive and later as a YouTube Channel Manager & Digital Marketing Producer. In these roles, they managed regional channel websites, created content, ensured adherence to brand guidelines and SEO best practices, and project managed CBeebies games. Since 2019, Darren has been at Acamar Films, where they started as a Senior YouTube Channel Manager, overseeing 21 Bing YouTube channels in multiple languages. Currently, they serve as the Head of YouTube Channel Management, responsible for channel growth, optimization, performance reporting, and team coordination.

Darren Cooper attended North West Kent College and obtained a BTEC National Diploma for Computing Practitioners in 2018. Prior to that, they attended Bexley Grammar School from 2001 to 2006 and achieved 11 A*-C GCSE's, including Maths, English, and Science. Darren also obtained various certifications from YouTube in January 2019, including the YouTube Asset Monetization Certification, YouTube Channel Growth Certification, and YouTube Content Ownership Certification.
