Neil Crighton

Neil Crighton is a principal data analyst currently working at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. Formerly an astrophysicist, they served as a postdoctoral researcher at both the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy and Swinburne University of Technology, as well as a research associate at Durham University. Neil has held various positions within the ACCC, including assistant director in the Electricity Markets Branch and director at the Commonwealth Treasury for a brief period in 2024. They earned a PhD from the University of New South Wales, where they also completed a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts.
