Sharel Pereira

Sharel Pereira has extensive work experience in software engineering. In 2013, they started their career as an Associate Software Engineer at Tesco Bengaluru, where they developed web services using Java SE8 and integrated REST APIs. Sharel also gained experience in automation unit testing and system testing using JUnits and Cucumber. Sharel practiced Agile methodologies and was responsible for the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of services. Sharel worked on the Oracle Retail Price Management Tool.

In 2017, Sharel interned as an Android Application Developer at Kypher. Sharel gained experience in mobile application development during this internship.

In 2018, Sharel joined Berkley Select as a Software Development Engineer. Their role involved software development activities.

In 2019, Sharel joined Accela as a Software Engineer. Sharel primarily focused on designing and developing modules for civic platforms, with a goal of improving the customer experience. Sharel implemented a Ruby scheduling mechanism to ease data sync programs and worked on microservices using Spring Boot to retrieve GIS data.

Throughout their career, Sharel has progressed to become a Senior Software Engineer. Sharel has demonstrated their technical skills, ability to work in teams, and experience in various software development areas.

Sharel Pereira holds a Master's degree in Computer Science which was obtained from the Illinois Institute of Technology between 2016 and 2018. Before that, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Information Technology from N M A M Institute of Technology, NITTE from 2009 to 2013. In addition to these degrees, Sharel Pereira also obtained a certification in Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in August 2021.
