Nyla Benjamin

Nyla Benjamin has extensive work experience in the education sector. Nyla is currently serving as the Director of School Partnerships at Accelerate Education since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Edmentum for almost a decade, holding various roles including Territory Manager for EdOptions Academy and National Education Consultant.

Before joining Edmentum, Nyla worked at the Florida Department of Education as the Director of Common Core & Digital Instruction and later as the Director of Executive Affairs & Community Outreach. Nyla played a crucial role in leadership discussions and represented the department in fundraising campaigns.

Nyla began their career at Florida A&M University as the Executive Assistant to the Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs, where they managed operations and handled student and faculty concerns. Nyla also gained experience at the Florida Board of Governors as the Executive Assistant to the Chancellor for the State University System, representing state-level executives and managing office operations.

Additionally, they served as the Executive Assistant to the Athletic Director at Florida A&M University and as an Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of McDonald's Sales at Kay Chemical, An Ecolab Company. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Office of the CEO/Dean at the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
