John A. Latham

r. John Latham has over 30 years’ experience in senior scientific management roles. Dr. Latham most recently served as Chief Scientific Officer and co-Founder at Alder BioPharmaceuticals. Prior to this, he served as a director, senior director, and Vice President of Gene Function and Target Validation for Celltech Group plc. Dr. Latham joined Darwin Molecular Corporation as a founding director and joined Gilead Sciences, Inc. as one of its earliest scientists.

Dr. Latham holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Chemistry from Colorado State University.
