Ashish Patel

Ashish Patel has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ashish started their career as a CIO at Creative Marketing Solutions, where they led IT operations and technology re-engineering teams. Ashish was responsible for the conversion of legacy systems to web-based ordering and optimization of business processes.

After that, Patel joined Bank of America as a Senior Vice President, where they successfully led the implementation of the first mobile banking platform in the nation. Ashish was commended for their ability to advocate for users and understand new technologies.

Later, Patel became the Managing Director of Digital Acceleration & C-Advisory at Morgan Franklin Consulting. In this role, they advised multiple C-level executives on transformation and growth initiatives, improving clients' technology readiness and efficiency.

Currently, Patel is with AccelerEd as the Portfolio President/CIO. Ashish is responsible for all IT enterprise services and support functions, developing and implementing a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with serving the University of Maryland Global Campus. Their focus is on innovating the student and faculty experience.

Ashish Patel completed their education with an MBA in Information Systems and International Business from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, which they attended from 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree from the University of South Carolina between 1994 and 1996. Their undergraduate studies were conducted at the University of Rajasthan, where they earned their BS degree from 1989 to 1992.

In addition to their formal education, Ashish obtained several certifications. Ashish is a Certified Scrum Master, which they received in October 2015 from the Scrum Alliance. Ashish also holds a certification in Six Sigma Green Belt, provided by Bank of America. However, the exact dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
