Ian's expertise spans process analysis, operational improvement, and strategic development, supported by a strong educational background that includes a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Professional Management and multiple diplomas in business and manufacturing management from the University of Ballarat and Newcastle TAFE. Access Industries for formed 75 years ago with the purpose of imrpoving the lives of people with disability by providing opportunities for employment, and support in developing vocational and life skills. Today, we provide supported employment opportunities for 260 people with disabilities. We deliver on our purpose by maintaining profitable and sustainable business services that provide supported training and employment opportunities for people with disability. Business Services • Our Newcastle Division employs up to 130 people with disability, with opportunities in pallet manufacturing, timberwork, light engineering, general packaging and assembly work, and sewing. The Division is certified to ISO 9001 and AWPCS for exported products. • Our Sydney Division comprises three sites in Western Sydney, employing up to 100 people with disability. All three sites are licensed by the Commonwealth Government’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). • Our Lithgow Division employs up to 30 people with disability in a commercial laundry which services hotels, motels, and a range of hospitality-related customers in the Blue Mountains and Lithgow region. Our RTO, Access Knowledge, provides training in Certificate III in Process Manufacturing. We provide training to learners with or without disability and employ qualified trainers experienced in training people with disabilitiy and those with various barriers to education and training.
