Access Living
Candace Coleman serves as a Community Development Organizer focused on Racial Justice and Youth at Access Living, a role held since 2011. In this capacity, Candace develops and implements community organizing campaigns addressing issues such as racial justice, community integration, transit, and disability rights. Candace also organizes with Advanced Youth Leadership Power, tackling critical matters like anti-bullying, the school-to-prison pipeline, restorative justice, police brutality, deinstitutionalization, and disability justice. Additional experience includes a board membership at Hip Hop Detoxx and a position as Program Coordinator at Children's Home and Aid. Candace holds a B.S. in Business Management from Grambling State University and a Youth Worker Certification in Social Work from City Colleges of Chicago-Harold Washington College.
