Access Navigators
Access Navigators mission is to advocate for people with disabilities in all corners of the world and to help everyone with mobility challenges stay engaged in their community by knowing what to expect when they visit local restaurants and cultural attractions. Access Navigators helps people of all abilities know what to expect when they visit New England. We visit businesses with the goal of determining the accessibility of the front entrance, the usability of the table/surroundings, the ability to use a restroom and the most convenient place to park. We call this "access-friendly" because sometimes, in our old buildings, accommodations are not quite fully ADA compliant. With some effort, most of our businesses do what they can to give everyone a warm New England welcome. Buildings change and staffs fluctuate, both playing a big part in your personal experience. As a visitor, if you see something here that can use an edit, give us a shout and we’ll check it out. For business owners, we’re architects, and have one of the country’s best gurus on accessibility in our firm. Sometimes even a small fix will make a difference in customer experience. We’re happy to help a little or a lot.
