Gary Martin

Retired Executive Director at Access Sacramento

Gary Martin serves as the retired Executive Director of Access Sacramento, having led the organization from July 2013 to the present, where responsibilities included managing two public access television channels and teaching various media production skills. Prior to this role, Gary worked as a Professor of Radio, TV, and Film Production at Cosumnes River College from August 1993 to 2013, specializing in television and film production, and holding certification as an Apple Trainer in Final Cut Pro. Earlier experience includes a position as a Producer at KXTV from 1989 to 1991. Gary holds a Master of Mass Communication degree from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism with a broadcast concentration from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

Access Sacramento

Access Sacramento is the non-profit public access cable TV, radio and internet broadcaster serving Sacramento County. We can be seen on cable channel 17 & 18 on Comcast and Consolidated Communications, Channel 14 on AT&T U-verse and are live streaming from our homepage, www.AccessSacramento.org. Projects include cablecast and internet radio including our low-power FM radio station, KUBU 96.5 FM from downtown Sacramento, our "Place Called Sacramento" film festival showcasing Sacramento actors, crew and writers, and the 'Sacramento Has Talent" stage show. Our mission is to give voice to the thoughts, dream and cultural arts and community events that make Sacramento County such a wonderful place to live.
