Linda Hallick

Director at ACCESS

Linda Hallick has been an ACCESS board member since 1984. She began her involvement with ACCESS as a member on the advisory board, and served as president of the board several times. Linda was also an executive board member for 10 years, and is now an emeritus member of the board of directors.

She was in charge of the English as a Second Language (ESL) program for adults at Dearborn Public Schools, and was also the administrator for a comprehensive vocational training school. Linda was employed as a sixth- and seventh-grade teacher at Salina Intermediate School, from which she recently retired. She served on the city of Dearborn’s Planning Commission for 31 years, 15 of which as chairperson.

Linda is a mother of two children and grandmother of four grandchildren.

ACCESS (Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services) has been serving the community for more than 47 years. Founded by a group of dedicated volunteers in 1971 out of a storefront in Dearborn’s impoverished south end, ACCESS was created to assist the Arab immigrant population adapt to life in the United States. Today, ACCESS is the largest Arab American community nonprofit in the United States. With 11 locations and more than 120 programs serving metro Detroit, ACCESS offers a wide range of social, economic, health and educational services to a diverse population.
