Dante Handel is an experienced professional in governmental affairs, currently serving as the Associate Director of Governmental Affairs at the Association County Commissioners of Georgia since July 2022. Prior roles include Governmental Affairs Associate at the same organization, Legislative Affairs Associate and Internal Auditor at the Georgia Department of Revenue from May 2018 to July 2022, and Aide to Senator Chuck Hufstetler in the Georgia State Senate during two separate tenures in 2017 and 2018. Dante Handel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from The University of Georgia, earned between 2013 and 2017.

ACCG is a nonprofit instrumentality of Georgia’s county governments. Formed in 1914 with 19 charter county members, today ACCG serves as the consensus building, training, and legislative organization for all 159 county governments in the state. ACCG works to ensure that the counties can provide the necessary leadership, services and programs to meet the health, safety and welfare needs of their citizens.
