Deborah De Rooij has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Deborah is currently serving as the Chief Investment Officer at Accial Capital since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Sarona Asset Management as the Managing Director of Private Debt from November 2019 to July 2022. Deborah also held the position of Head of Emerging Market Debt at APG Asset Management from April 2013 to July 2018. Before that, they were the Head of Global Manager Selection at APG Asset Management from July 2001 to April 2013. Their career began at Achmea Global Investors where they worked as a senior portfolio manager from November 1989 to June 2001.

Deborah De Rooij has a varied education history. Deborah attended Zaanlands Lyceum from 1980 to 1986, where they completed their VWO (pre-university education). Following this, they enrolled at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics, which they completed from 1986 to 1989. Later, they pursued the EFFAS Certified European Financial Analyst qualification at VBA and completed it from 1990 to 1994.
