Martin Skärin

Martin Skärin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and development, engineering, and production management. Currently serving as the Director of R&D and Engineering at ACCO Brands since October 2016, Martin leads a 10-member team in Shanghai, focusing on new product development, automation, and lean manufacturing practices as a Kaizen promotion officer. Prior roles include Production Manager and Senior Production Engineer at Esselte, where responsibilities encompassed managing large teams and improving production efficiency. Martin's career began with positions at Isaberg Rapid AB, Volvo Car Corporation, and Aero Peltor AB, alongside earlier roles in youth recreation leadership. Martin holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology and has military training as a guarding soldier.
