Julio Castor Achmadi

Julio Castor Achmadi is an experienced advocate focused on human rights, refugee rights, and legal empowerment. Currently serving as a Communities Associate at Accountability Counsel since October 2022, Julio works with communities in Asia to leverage accountability offices for protecting their rights. As Chair of the South East Asia Working Group at the Asia Pacific Refugee Rights Network since June 2021, Julio enhances collaborative advocacy efforts for refugee protections. Julio is also the Founder of Enact.id, an association aimed at promoting democracy and human rights through education. Prior roles include National Human Rights Institution Programme Officer at Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development, Legal Empowerment Coordinator at SUAKA, and various consultancy positions with IOM - UN Migration. Julio holds a degree from the University of Indonesia.
