Accountability Counsel
Robi Chacha Mosenda is a seasoned professional in the field of human rights and advocacy, currently serving as the Senior Communities Associate for Africa at Accountability Counsel since April 2019. Robi founded Haki Zako during the COVID-19 pandemic to empower Kenyan communities with knowledge of their human rights. Previous experience includes roles as Campaign Officer for Safety & Dignity at Amnesty International Kenya, where efforts focused on police accountability and criminal justice reforms, and a lawyer at Onyango Ochieng' & Associates Advocates. Robi holds a Master of Public Policy and Management from Strathmore Business School and various short courses from the University of Pretoria, specializing in indigenous peoples' rights and police oversight.

Accountability Counsel amplifies the voices of communities around the world to protect their human rights and environment. As advocates for people harmed by internationally financed projects, we employ community-driven and policy level strategies to access justice. We assist communities to effectively use accountability offices to remedy and prevent harm caused by global projects. We advocate for accountability offices that are accessible, independent, transparent, fair, and effective tools for justice. We provide trainings and tools, conduct research, and track trends within the accountability field to foster the global movement.
