Accountability Counsel
Samer Araabi is currently the Research Director at Accountability Counsel and Senior Software Engineer at Workshop Ventures, LLC. Samer has a background in Conflict Studies with a Master of Science degree from The London School of Economics and Political Science. Samer has also held various positions including Senior Advisor at Conflict Dynamics International, Syria Program Specialist at Italian Development Cooperation Agency, and Senior Project Manager at Assistance Coordination Unit. Throughout Samer's career, they have also worked in roles such as Government Relations Manager and Cultural Outreach Specialist at Arab American Institute, Director of Ad Sales at RockYou!, and Tutor at Revolution Prep.

Accountability Counsel amplifies the voices of communities around the world to protect their human rights and environment. As advocates for people harmed by internationally financed projects, we employ community-driven and policy level strategies to access justice. We assist communities to effectively use accountability offices to remedy and prevent harm caused by global projects. We advocate for accountability offices that are accessible, independent, transparent, fair, and effective tools for justice. We provide trainings and tools, conduct research, and track trends within the accountability field to foster the global movement.
