Madhumita Dash

Madhumita Dash has had a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Madhumita started their career as a Project Trainee at NEERI, Nagpur, where they studied changes in protein expression in plant cell lines under stress conditions. Madhumita then worked as a Graduate Student at the University of Rajasthan, followed by a PhD candidate at the University of Georgia, focusing on plant biology research. After completing their PhD, they joined Michigan Technological University as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, where they developed a model to identify regulatory genes affecting root growth in response to stress. Following this, they worked as a Research Associate at the Centre for Cellular & Molecular Biology, where they studied meiotic gene expression in plants using next-generation sequencing approaches.

Transitioning into industry, Madhumita worked as a Data Scientist/Data Analyst at Squad, followed by a role as a Senior Data Scientist at Spectral Tech AI, where they developed a web portal for insurance agencies and performed data analysis and risk analysis. Madhumita then joined Hinduja Tech Limited as a Lead, working with the Global Analytics Team at Hyundai Motor Corporation to establish a big data team at Hyundai Motor India Limited. Madhumita'swork involved projects related to potential customer analysis for sales and service marketing.

Madhumita's next role was as a Principal AI Research Engineer at Fasal, where they conducted research in the field of artificial intelligence and developed AI algorithms. Madhumita is currently working as a Senior Applied Scientist at Accrete AI, where they continue their work in the field of AI.

Madhumita Dash received their B.Sc (Hons.) degree in Botany from Banaras Hindu University, where they studied from 2003 to 2006. Madhumita then pursued their M.Sc in Biotechnology at the University of Rajasthan from 2006 to 2008. Following that, they obtained a PhD in Horticulture from The University of Georgia, completing their doctoral studies from 2008 to 2012.
