Ruby Johnson serves as the Community Support Manager at ACCT Philly since October 2022, following a role as Administrative Coordinator at Humpty's Dumplings from October 2021 to August 2022. Ruby's experience at ACCT Philly also includes positions as Foster Coordinator and Client Service Representative from October 2019 to October 2021. Prior to these roles, Ruby worked as a Visitor Experience Specialist at Grand Canyon Conservancy, and briefly held positions in customer experience and access control with Insomniac Events and the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, respectively. Ruby's early career includes internships at ArtsQuest, Media Five Entertainment, and High Vibe Records, alongside work as a music journalist for The Sympathizer. ACCT Philly is the region’s largest animal care and control service provider, serving the City of Philadelphia by contract. ACCT Philly manages the city’s animal shelter facility in North Philadelphia handling nearly 18,000 animals, from dogs and cats, to small animals, reptiles, birds and wildlife, annually. ACCT Philly is open seven days a week – except for major holidays – for pet adoptions. ACCT Philly’s mission is to provide shelter, care and life saving efforts for homeless, abandoned, and abused animals and protect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Philadelphia, providing a benefit to all of the citizens of the City regardless of race or economic status.
