Carl Mauer has extensive work experience in the medical technology industry. Carl worked at Accuray as a Research Manager from 2013 onwards, where they led a team in designing and implementing a next-gen control system. In this role, they successfully transitioned from vxWorks to Linux, resulting in increased accuracy, system stability, and cost savings of $250K per year. Carl also has experience in embedded Linux using C++11, ZeroMQ, and Protocol Buffers.
Prior to their role at Accuray, Carl worked at TomoTherapy from 2004 to 2013 as a Senior Computer Scientist. During their time there, they made significant contributions to the development of two commercially released products: Volo plan calculator and Tomo Edge.
