Chris Janko

Manager, Imaging Systems at Accuray

Chris Janko has over 30 years of experience in software engineering and management roles. Their most recent role was as a Manager of Imaging Systems at Accuray, Inc., where they led projects to develop and implement new tracking algorithms and device interfaces. Prior to that, they were the Director of Software at Metara, Inc., where they designed software architecture for chemical metrology used in semiconductor manufacturing. Chris also worked as a Senior Software Engineering Consultant at Amptek, Inc., where they enhanced GUI software and implemented data collection techniques for x-ray and gamma ray detection instrumentation. Chris Janko was also a VP, Software Engineering Manager, and Co-Founder at BJR - Browning Janko Research, where they released complex software products for lithography tools and established software engineering practices. Earlier in their career, they held various roles at Kevex Instruments and EDAX International, where they managed projects, designed system architecture, and developed real-time software products. Chris Janko has a strong track record of successfully managing projects, improving software quality, and delivering innovative software solutions.

Chris Janko attended Benedictine University from 1979 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Their major was Physics with an Engineering Physics concentration, and they minored in Computer Science. From 1988 to 1991, they also took Technical and Management Extension Courses at the University of California, Berkeley.
