Sonia Copt-Gregorio

Sonia Copt-Gregorio has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Sonia began their career in 2000 at Mentha & Associés, where they worked as an Attorney at Law until 2004. In 2006, they joined Freehills as a Foreign Associate for a brief period.

In the same year, Sonia joined Baker & McKenzie as an Attorney at Law, where they served as a Senior Associate in the Commercial and Litigation & Arbitration Departments. Their responsibilities included advising domestic and international companies on various commercial matters such as distribution, agency, employment, and sales contracts. Sonia was also a member of the Firm Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare Industry Group. Sonia worked at Baker & McKenzie until 2012.

From 2011 to 2012, Sonia had a secondment at Alcon Management SA (Novartis Group) as an In-house Counsel. During this period, they provided legal support to management, marketing, sales, regulatory, R&D, and human resources groups at the European headquarters in Switzerland and local affiliates. Their focus was on reviewing a wide range of contracts and managing disputes in multiple European jurisdictions.

Sonia joined Accuray in 2012 as a Corporate Counsel and gradually moved up the ranks. Sonia served as a Senior Corporate Counsel from 2016 to 2018 and then as an Associate General Counsel until 2022. Currently, Sonia holds the position of VP, Associate General Counsel at Accuray.

Throughout their career, Sonia has gained extensive experience in legal advisory, contract review, dispute management, and various commercial matters.

Sonia Copt-Gregorio holds a Bachelor and Master degree in Law from Université de Fribourg - Universität Freiburg, which they completed from 1993 to 1998. Sonia also obtained an LL.M. degree in Law from UNSW in 2005. In addition, Sonia successfully completed the Swiss Bar Exam in 2000, earning the title of Attorney-at-law/Avocat.
