Sophal Chan

Sophal Chan has over 20 years of experience working in the field of electrical engineering for various medical technology companies. Sophal started their career in 2000 at Varian Medical Systems as an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer, where they worked on designing and implementing new medical hardware and software. Sophal provided daily engineering support and troubleshooting during the manufacturing process. In 2006, they joined Accuray as a Senior Electrical Engineer, contributing to the development and maintenance of radiotherapy systems. Sophal then moved to ViewRay Incorporated in 2015 as a Senior Electrical Engineer, where they focused on improving manufacturing efficiency and product quality through design modifications and fabrication. Currently, they are working at Accuray as the Group Lead of Electrical Engineering, leading and mentoring a team of engineers and technicians in the development of the Radixact and CyberKnife Delivery systems. Sophal provides technical leadership and expertise to support the larger electrical engineering team.

Sophal Chan attended Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business and received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. The focus of their studies was on Leading Innovative Organizations. Additionally, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
