Tim Dowden

Tim Dowden has extensive work experience in the field of customer support and service management in the medical equipment industry. Tim began their career in 1986 as a Design Engineer at GEC Avionics before moving on to Philips Medical Systems in the UK, where they worked as a Principal Installation and Support Engineer for medical linear accelerators. Tim then joined Philips Medical Systems in Hong Kong as a Regional Service Specialist, responsible for project management, installation, and customer support of radiotherapy equipment in the Asia-Pacific region. Following this, they relocated to Thailand with Philips Medical Systems, where they served as the Radiotherapy Service Manager, focusing on developing the team's self-support capabilities. In 1997, they joined Elekta as a Service Manager, where they further developed the customer support team in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2003, they joined Siemens Medical Systems as a Service Manager, overseeing operations in the APAC region. Tim is currently serving as the Director of Operations (Customer Support) APAC at Accuray since 2005. Overall, Tim Dowden has a strong background in customer support, service management, and project management in the medical equipment industry.

Tim Dowden attended South Devon Technical College from 1980 to 1982, where they obtained an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Engineering and Technology, along with A' Levels in Math's and Eng Science. Their field of study during this time included electronics, physics, and mechanical engineering.

Following their studies at South Devon Technical College, Tim Dowden enrolled at Brighton University from 1983 to 1986. During this period, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc. Hons) degree in Electronics, specializing in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
