Ed Barbera has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in different companies. Ed founded Accure Acne, Inc. in 2015, a start-up focused on aesthetic devices, and partnered with Massachusetts General Hospital and El. Prior to that, they served as Founder, Chairman, and Chief Financial Officer at Quanta Aesthetic Lasers USA, LLC from 2010 to 2018. In 2009, they founded Sentient Medical Technologies, LLC and held multiple roles including CEO and CFO until 2011. From 2004 to 2008, Ed was the owner and CEO of Severn Wholesale, LLC, where they oversaw the company's growth from $9 million to $23 million. Additionally, they founded Zolo Technologies, Inc in 1999 and served as CEO until 2003. During that time, they successfully raised $50 million of venture funding and was responsible for various functions such as strategic planning, operations, finance, distribution, sales, marketing, and administrative tasks.
Ed Barbera received their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they studied from 1976 to 1980. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained certification as a SpiralMethod Certified Facilitator from SpiralMethod in March 2021.
