Bernard McSweeney is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in operations management across various industries, including international freight forwarding, logistics, aviation, and supply chain. Currently serving as Company Director Operations and Chief Operating Officer at Ace Express Freight since August 2021, Bernard provides innovative leadership overseeing air, ocean, and road freight operations, focusing on quality, safety, and customer service. Previous roles include Chief Operating Officer at Transdev, managing the LUAS light rail network in Dublin; General Manager Flight Operations at Ryanair, overseeing a network of 5,800 pilots; and General Manager at Swissport, where Bernard led a significant transformation at Dublin Airport. Additional experience includes serving as Regional General Manager at DHL Supply Chain and roles at companies such as Green Isle Foods, Kingston Technology, Solectron Ireland, and Siemens. Bernard holds an MBA from The Open University and a Leaving Certificate in Business from O Connell Schools.
