Bernardo Ong

Bernardo Ong has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Bernardo currently holds the position of President at Ace Hardware Philippines, Inc. since January 2023. Prior to this role, from 2012 to 2022, they served as the Senior Vice President - Business Head at Ace Hardware Philippines.

Before joining Ace Hardware, Bernardo held various leadership positions. Bernardo was the Vice President - General Manager at Shell Gas LPG (Philippines & North Pacific Islands) from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2005, they served as the Global Director - Marketing (Ice Cream Out-of-Home Business Systems) at Unilever.

Bernardo also has experience in the aluminum industry. From 1997 to 1999, they held the position of Vice President - General Manager at Reynolds (Aluminum) Phils Corp. Prior to that, from 1996 to 1997, they were the General Manager at I.B. Gimenez Securities (PSE Stockbroker).

In addition, Bernardo has a background in sales and management. From 1993 to 1995, they served as the National Sales Manager at RFM-Swift Foods Inc, and from 1990 to 1993, they worked as a Sales Manager at Procter & Gamble.

Bernardo Ong holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from IMD, which was obtained in the year 2000. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) and was a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of the Philippines-Diliman from 1987 to 1990. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications in various professional development areas from LinkedIn, starting from the year 2020 onwards.
