Dwayne Moment

Dean of Community at ACERO SCHOOLS CHICAGO

Dwayne Moment has a diverse work experience in various educational organizations. Dwayne began their career as an Education Director at Boys & Girls Clubs of America in 2011, where they conceptualized and implemented activities for students aged 12-18. Dwayne also provided college and career counseling to a diverse group of students. In 2014, they joined By The Hand Club For Kids as a High School Program Manager, where they developed relationships with community organizations and employers to support students in achieving their career goals. In 2017, Dwayne became an Academic Program Supervisor at LEARN Behavioral, where they created and evaluated programming for Title I students and their families. Dwayne also addressed concerns and worked collaboratively with students, parents, instructors, and school administrators. Currently, Dwayne is working as a Dean of Community at Acero Schools, where they manage program administration and establishes collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders to promote program continuity and development.

Dwayne Moment holds a Master of Arts degree in Applied Professional Studies from DePaul University, which they obtained in 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from Florida A&M University in 2007. In addition to their formal education, Dwayne has obtained certifications in Youth Mental Health First Aid USA from the NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR COMMUNITY BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE in May 2021, as well as CPR & AED from the American Heart Association.
