Femke van Den Steen

Femke Van Den Steen is an experienced ICT legal counsel currently employed at Acerta since May 2022. Previously, Femke held the position of Privacy and ICT Jurist - DPO at Privanot from July 2018 to May 2022, focusing on GDPR compliance, contract drafting and negotiation, and establishing data management procedures. Femke also worked as a Privacy Consultant at Ordina Belgium between August 2017 and July 2018, where responsibilities included implementing GDPR and ISO27001 procedures and negotiating related contracts. Femke's early experience includes an internship at the Rechtbank van Eerste Aanleg. Academically, Femke holds a Master's degree in Law from KU Leuven, a Bachelor's degree in Business Management: Legal Practice from Arteveldehogeschool, and a certificate in ICT Security from Het Perspectief PCVO. Additional education includes coursework at Creobis and Ghent University.
