Gemma Satterthwaite

Gemma Satterthwaite is an experienced leader in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as a member of the Supervisory Board at Acerta Pharma B.V. and holding the position of Global Product Leader for Late-Stage Haematology and Cell Therapy at AstraZeneca since June 2021. Satterthwaite has held multiple leadership roles at AstraZeneca, including Franchise & Global Product Leader for CVRM and Oncology, and has extensive experience from previous positions at Roche, where roles included Executive Product Team Leader for Bispecifics and Immuno-Oncology, as well as Integrated Strategy Leader for the Lung and Rare Cancer Franchise. With a strong academic background that includes a PhD in Cardiovascular Medicine and Immunology from The University of Sheffield, an MSc in Medical Informatics from The University of Manchester, and an MBA from Bayes Business School, Satterthwaite's expertise spans product development, commercialization, and strategic leadership in the biopharmaceutical sector.
