Tom Cogswell

Tom Cogswell is a Senior Scientist at Acerta Pharma B.V., part of the AstraZeneca Group, since April 2021. Prior to this role, Tom held the position of Senior Scientist in Synthetic and Medicinal Chemistry at Sygnature Discovery from February 2020 to March 2021. Tom's academic experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Assistant role in Medicinal and Organic Chemistry at the University of Oxford, focusing on drug development for cancer stem-like cells from September 2017 to November 2019, and a Postdoctoral Researcher position at AstraZeneca, investigating novel polyfunctional fluorinated macrocycles. Tom earned a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from the University of Glasgow and a master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Bristol.
