Birgitte Vestbjerg

Birgitte Vestbjerg has extensive experience in the clinical operations field. Birgitte started their career as a Nurse Supervisor at Holbaek Hospital in 1991. Birgitte then moved to Holbæk Hospital, Cardiovascular Research Dept. in 1999, where they worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator. In 2003, they joined Cardiovascular Consultants Medical Group in the same role. In 2007, they moved to LEO Pharma A/S and worked as an International Clinical Trial Manager and GCP Auditor. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at MC2 Therapeutics as a Director of Clinical Operations and Clinical Project Manager. Currently, they are the Director of Clinical Operations at Acesion Pharma.

Birgitte Vestbjerg's education history includes a Registered Nurse degree from Sønderborg Nursing School in Denmark, obtained between 1987 and 1991. Birgitte then completed a Certificate of In-service Training of Nurses in the Intensive Care at Bisbebjerg Hospital in Denmark in 1995-1996. In 2002, they obtained a Registered Nurse, California certification through self-study in California. That same year, they also completed an Intro. to Clinical Research course at the University of California, Berkeley. Finally, they obtained a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator certification from the Academy of Clinical Research Professionals in 2003-2005.
