Dr. Karsten Klohs is a professional with extensive experience in security engineering and evaluation. Currently serving as the Director of Business Development Security Engineering at achelos GmbH since July 2020, Dr. Klohs focuses on enhancing security engineering capabilities to assist developers in embedded security solutions. Previously, from June 2015 to July 2020, Dr. Klohs held the position of Evaluation Team Lead and Principal Evaluator at Riscure, where responsibilities included developing evaluation methodologies, leading teams, and representing Riscure in international technical groups. Prior to that, expertise was demonstrated as an Expert System Analyst at Morpho from 2009 to May 2015, managing security evaluations and improving security processes. Dr. Klohs began an academic career as a PhD student and research assistant at the University of Paderborn, culminating in a doctorate in 2008, following a Master of Computer Science degree earned at Paderborn University.
