Jim Olness

Jim Olness is an accomplished data science and AI professional with extensive experience leading teams in various sectors. Currently, as the Director of Data Science & AI at Achieve since 2021, Olness has successfully rebuilt a central data science team to support internal stakeholders. Previously, Olness served as the Director of Data Science & Analytics at Pocket Gems from 2016 to 2021, where team growth and the expansion of analytical capabilities were achieved. Prior experience includes serving as Head of Analytics at Metric Insights, where Olness established a post-sales team and developed training materials, and co-founding Silverleaf Holdings, a commercial real estate investment company focused on acquisitions. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Theoretical Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley.
