Karleta Peterson

Karleta Peterson is an experienced educator currently serving as a 5th Grade Math Teacher at Achievement First since September 2024. Prior to this role, Karleta taught discussion-based classes to adult English learners at Ringle and provided essay coaching for graduate school applicants. Karleta's experience includes teaching English literature to Master's level students at CHUNGDAHM Learning and serving as an English Instructor at KOREA POLYSCHOOL. In previous positions, Karleta coordinated professional development and training at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, and designed a Volunteer Leadership Academy for Teach North Korean Refugees. Additional experiences include teaching English at Avalon English and talent recruitment coordination at Success Academy Charter Schools. Karleta holds an Ed.M in International & Cross-Cultural Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Sociology from Columbia University.
