Afaq Ahmed Karadia has extensive experience in the field of UX and product design. Most recently, they worked at Achievers as a Senior Mobile UX Designer starting in 2022. Before that, they were a UX - Product Designer at OnSiteIQ from 2020 to 2022, where they were responsible for product design and usability research in a startup focused on solving problems in the construction industry.

Prior to OnSiteIQ, Afaq worked as a UX - Product Designer at Canadian Tire Corporation in 2019, where they developed product designs for an auto online booking platform. Afaq Ahmed was responsible for ensuring a delightful user experience and conducting usability testing.

From 2018 to 2019, Afaq worked as a UX - Product Designer at Compass Digital Labs, leading UX and visual design for a large-scale product focused on using food data. Afaq Ahmed conducted interviews, gathered project requirements, and performed user testing.

Afaq also has experience as a Co-founder and Industrial Designer at Over Under Inside Out, where they focused on developing an IoT-based system for home planters. Afaq Ahmed served as a product designer and researcher, emphasizing a human-centric design process.

Additionally, Afaq worked as a UI/UX designer at ChoreRocket Toronto and Pixel Pi Productions, where they were responsible for designing mobile apps and websites, respectively. Afaq Ahmed also worked as a Research Assistant at OCAD University, contributing to a research-creation project exploring future digital capture technologies.

Before their professional career, Afaq founded T-anatomy, a graphic T-shirt label inspired by urban design and popular culture.

Throughout their career, Afaq has demonstrated strong skills in product design, usability research, user testing, and visual design.

Afaq Ahmed Karadia completed a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Communications from the National College of Arts from 2010 to 2014. Later, from 2015 to 2016, Karadia pursued a one-year Product Design course at SPD Scuola Politecnica di Design. From 2016 to 2018, Karadia attended OCAD University and obtained a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Digital Futures. Additionally, Karadia obtained three certifications in "Maker: The New Art Class" from Lynda.com in August 2016.
