Garth Michel

Garth Michel has over 15 years of experience in software engineering and development. Garth most recently worked at Achievers as a Staff Software Engineer, where they focused on developing and streamlining the API development process. Prior to that, they served as a Senior PHP Developer at Property.ca and Instaclick Inc., where they utilized technologies such as FreeBSD, Linux, PHP, MySQL, and Symfony. Garth also worked as a Senior PHP Developer at ViaMedia (Pty) Ltd and Liquorice Africa, where they created clean interfaces for internal and external use. Additionally, Garth served as a Senior PHP Web Developer at The Dating Lab, a PHP Developer at Inxcom, and a Senior IVR Developer at Buongiorno, gaining experience in web development, mobile marketing, and IVR programming. Before that, they worked at Telecom Express as a Senior Programmer, IVR Programmer, and Operator, where they contributed to the development of IVR services. Garth started their career at Intec as a Mediation Programmer, focusing on scripting plug-ins for the InterMediate system. Garth Michel attended Cape Peninsula University of Technology from 1999 to 2011, where they pursued a Btech degree in IT. During this period, they completed their third year of study in the field of 3rd Year ND IT. Additionally, in August 2020, Garth obtained certifications in "Blockchain Basics" and "Learning Cloud Computing: Public Cloud Platforms" from LinkedIn.
