Sandro Gomes

Sandro Gomes is currently the Head of MSAT and Tech Transfer at Achilles Therapeutics, where they have brought extensive expertise in cellular and gene therapy. Previously, they served as a Principal Scientist at Orchard Therapeutics and held various research roles, including Investigator at GSK and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Pharmacology and Structural Biology - CNRS. Sandro earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Universidade do Porto, where their research focused on critical aspects of cytoprotection and inflammation. Their early career involved significant contributions as a Research Fellow at IBMC.INEB Associate Laboratory.
