Paul Firuta

Paul Firuta is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Achillion Pharmaceuticals. Paul has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including senior leadership positions at NPS Pharmaceuticals and uniQure.

At NPS Pharmaceuticals, Paul served as President of US Commercial Operations, overseeing a team of over 100 employees across the GI and Endocrinology business units. Paul was responsible for the development and execution of the Gattex sale and marketing strategic plan, and oversaw the commercial launch of Natpara.

In their role as Chief Commercial Officer at uniQure, Paul was responsible for global commercial and portfolio planning, program management, and building relationships with patient advocacy groups and key opinion leaders.

Paul has a proven track record of success in the pharmaceutical industry, and they are a valuable asset to the Achillion team.

Paul Firuta has earned a MBA in Healthcare Administration from Saint Joseph's University and a Bachelor's Degree in CIS and Accounting from King's College.
