Chris van Ballegooij

Chris van Ballegooij is an experienced Risk Engineer at Achmea since May 2015, specializing in identifying business risks through risk analysis across various technical domains related to fire, burglary, storm, and business damage. Additionally, Chris serves as a firefighter at Veiligheidsregio Limburg-Noord, engaging in operational activities encompassing fire extinguishing, technical assistance, and managing incidents involving hazardous materials. As a former reservist in the Koninklijke Landmacht from March 2018 to April 2023, Chris contributed to national security efforts. Earlier experiences include conducting effectiveness research at Justitiële Jeugdinrichting Amsterbaken during a bachelor's internship, and safety analysis at Lions Dive & Beach Resort, leading to the development of an internal security department. Chris began a career in security with The Security Company BV, performing a range of security duties at public events. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Public Management with a focus on Integrated Safety from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
