Martijn Giesen

Martijn Giesen has extensive experience in the education sector, currently serving as Decaan a.i. at Achterhoek VO since August 2018, where responsibilities include guiding students through package and profile choices, monitoring internal transitions, and developing career learning portfolios. Previously, Martijn held the role of Docent Dienstverlening en Producten VMBO, creating lesson plans, managing budgets, and organizing career orientation activities. Additional experience includes developing an elective subject in information technology and participating in examinations committees for Cito. Martijn's educational background includes a Bachelor in Education from Windesheim and a Bachelor's in Hotel and Event Management from Hogeschool TIO Utrecht, complemented by roles in hospitality and recruitment prior to entering the education field.
