Matt Bakken

Matt Bakken is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical engineering, currently serving as Manager of Mechanical Engineering at ACIST Medical Systems since December 2011. In this role, Matt has focused on improving plastic injection molding processes, conducting failure analysis, and validating hardware for sterile medical devices. Previous experience includes work as Mechanical Engineer II in Hardware Development at Beckman Coulter, where Matt designed and implemented improvements for pneumatic actuators and fluidic pumping devices, alongside manufacturing line support for medical device assembly. Matt holds a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.
