Jaco Smith

Jaco Smith has over 17 years of experience in finance and operations, currently serving as Operations Finance Manager at Ackermans since December 2006. Previous roles at Ackermans include National Operations Risk and Admin Manager, Senior Internal Auditor - Operations, and Divisional Admin Manager / Internal Auditor, with a focus on managing the operational internal audit function and auditors nationally. Prior to Ackermans, Jaco held the position of Operational Financial Controller and Tax Manager at Marais Incorporated from January 2002 to November 2006, overseeing the tax department. Jaco completed a National Diploma in Internal Audit from Cape Peninsula University of Technology and a Bachelor of Accounting Science in Auditing and Accounting from the University of South Africa, along with the completion of CA (SAICA) articles.
