Lisa Hathaway is an accomplished attorney and legal-policy manager with extensive experience in litigation and compliance. Currently serving as the Legal-Policy Department Manager & Attorney at the ACLU of Northern California since December 2018, Lisa previously held the position of Director of Legal Observation at the Arizona Democratic Party for a brief period in 2018. Prior to that, Lisa worked as an Associate at JONES DAY®, where responsibilities included managing litigation projects, developing legal strategies, and drafting key motions. Lisa also gained significant experience at Shearman & Sterling LLP, representing banking entities in securities lawsuits and multinational companies in cross-border disputes. Lisa holds a Doctor of Law degree from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Affairs from UCLA.
